Do your research

There are many courses and online courses offered that say they can teach you creative writing and other writing skills. Be sure to do your research about any offering before you hand over your money. Most offerings will give you some kind of program in return, but many of them are not very useful. First decide what you want to study and why (for example, do you want an MA? Do you want to write stories and have peer review? Do you want to learn journalism?). Then research online and through books to find out what institute will provide the courses and studies that will best suit your needs.
